Caspier started with a simple frustration: lighting shopping is boring. Endless pages of identical fixtures, stock photos that tell you nothing, and no clue whether the thing arriving at your door will feel special or cheap.
We thought a light should be the opposite of that. It's the first thing you touch when you walk into a room and the last thing before bed. It sets the whole mood of your home. That deserves more care than "add to basket, hope for the best."
So here's what we do. We run a small shop from Brierley Hill, in the West Midlands, and we choose every light ourselves. Hand-woven rattan pendants. Glass globes. Ceramic, wood, marble. Pieces with a bit of soul. If we look at something and feel nothing, it doesn't make the cut — no matter how well it might sell.
Our range stays small because that's the point. Fifty lights we'd genuinely hang in our own homes beat five thousand we've never even unboxed.
We ship to the UK, US, Canada and Australia. You get 30 days to live with your light and return it if it's not right — no awkward questions. If anything arrives damaged, one email and we'll sort it. And that email goes to a real person, usually the same one who packed your order. We're a small team. We like it that way.
