A Piece That Works Lit or Unlit
By day, the sconce reads as a sculptural stone object on the wall, with the bronze band adding a quiet note of contrast. Once switched on, the alabaster glows from within, warming in tone and bringing the veining forward as darker lines. The result is a light that holds the eye even when it isn’t in use.
- Decorative in daylight, not just after dark
- Stone warms in colour when lit
- Veining becomes more visible with the light on

A Clean, Considered Finish on the Wall
The round wall plate covers the electrical point, so nothing sits exposed once the sconce is fitted. Its simple outline sits comfortably in both period and contemporary interiors, and it looks especially balanced when mounted in matching pairs, either side of a bed, mirror or doorway.
- No visible fixings or wiring once installed
- Works with plaster, painted and panelled walls
- Creates symmetry when fitted in pairs

FAQ
A warm white LED bulb (around 2700K) gives the most flattering glow through alabaster and produces little heat inside the shades. Choose a compact bulb that fits comfortably within each shade, and check the fitting type before ordering.
The sconce has no built-in dimming function. It can be dimmed through a compatible wall dimmer on the circuit, used with dimmable bulbs. Check that your dimmer and bulbs are designed to work together.
It is controlled from a wall switch on the lighting circuit, as there is no switch or cord on the fitting itself. This keeps the sconce looking clean, but it does mean a wired wall point is needed where you plan to mount it.
A common guide is to place the centre of the sconce roughly level with the top of the headboard, usually around 150–160cm from the floor. This keeps the light out of your eyes when sitting up while still lighting the wall evenly.
Because it connects directly to your home’s wiring, we recommend fitting by a qualified electrician. In the UK, new lighting connections should comply with Building Regulations (Part P), so professional installation is the safest choice.
It is designed as ambient and accent lighting, not a main light source. For bedrooms, hallways and living rooms, it works best alongside a ceiling light or lamps, adding softer, layered light to the space.
